Job seekers turn on LinkedIn Premium to transform their job searches. This post demystifies the offering so you can decide if it's worth the $30-$50 monthly fee.
Great review on the true value of LinkedIn Premium ... at this price mark, it seems to offer very little, but I know others who swear by it .... I'd recommend to drop in price to around $10/mth and I'm sure they'd get a lot more subscribers ...
Hey Kevin, I've always felt exactly the same. At its peak, they were charging $60 a month for Premium, and the current pricing ($30-$40/mo) reflects the challenges they have with stickiness.
So many of the 280 opinions I read talked about doing the free month to job search binge, then immediately unsubscribing. Not a single opinion indicated any sense of value proposition post-job acquisition.
I agree that many would pay $10/month for better core experiences (and wouldn't see a reason to cancel at the first change, since this is a reasonable fee). I also think they need to reconsider their student pricing. Charging students the same amount seems short-sighted as they can try to hook them earlier.
I agree with all the above, they would have far more takers at a lower price level and a lot more stickiness ... (of course they'd have to reduce the fees for existing users which would hurt).
Good break down. From personal experience, purchasing LinkedIn Premium, Sales Navigator, etc. is not worth the price. Your "what you don't get" section is spot on - even though the marketing seems to imply that it does some of these things.
